Learning the minor scales of music

Minor scales:

Now let us have a look at the minor scales. Just like Major scales, there are 12 minor scales. This is also called a natural minor scale.

The formula is……..
Whole half whole whole half whole whole

A minor scale

Whole  half  whole  whole  half  whole  whole

A A# B    C  C# D D#  E     F F#  G G#   A

A     B    C      D       E     F       G      A

Every Major scale has its relative minor scale. They are called relative as they carry the same notes in their respective scales.

How to find the relative minor scale for a given Major scale?
The minor scale key is the 5thnote in that given Major scale.
Check the C Major scale given in my earlier posting. A is the fifth note in the C Major scale. And as such, A minor scale is the relative minor scale of C Major scale.

D : D E F G A A# C D

Note: I am a novice in music, but trying to put simple lessons for easy learning. I hope everyone understands. Masters, please excuse me for my shortcomings if any.
